Military Family History: The Essential Guide to Tracing Your Military Ancestors ~ Future Publishing Limited, 2011. Trade paperback, 198 pages total, fully illustrated. This is a lightly used copy, VERY FINE/NEAR MINT. Includes CDROM.
There is no simple explanation for how to begin research in military records. Your research path will depend on aspects such as: what branch of service your ancestor was in, which conflict, what dates, whether Regular Army or a volunteer unit, whether your ancestor was an officer or enlisted personnel, and whether there was a pension application.
Although paper ephemera grading is still somewhat subjective, you can expect that the grade I assign to a comic will be accurate. I find that I'm more strict a grader than most people dealing on eBay. I've been dabbling in collectible comics since the late-1960s and participated in the WSA program (#1305) which provided a code of ethics for comics dealers. I've contributed material to the Overstreet Price Guide and published articles in a variety of comic book related periodicals including Comic Book Marketplace, Comic Source, Golden Age Greats, Best of the West, and others.
