Terrace Room (Newark) Souvenir Photo ~ Newark's Terrace Room was an important WWII era nightspot where big bands played. This souvenir photo and folder is dated November 17, 1945, and apparently belonged to the woman pictured since she is the only one of the three not identified. Everyone is smoking. The lady has a pack of Camels which can be clearly seen in the photograph. The others are Dexter Munro and Army Air Corps Sgt. Tarlee E. Ball. The entertainment for the evening might have been Jimmy Dorsey's orchestra as his name is written on the outside of the folder. There is also an inscription, "Best Wished Dick Culver," and another name that I can't make out. All the writing on the outside of the folder appears to be in the same hand.
Condition: Some minor discoloration from age and marks to the folder. The photo also shows signs of aging but is very nice overall.
