Soviet Young Pioneer Pin ~ Nice little new and unissued pin from the Young Pioneer organization of the Soviet Union. It measures roughly ¾" by ½" and has a couple of maker marks on the back. The badge features Lenin in profile in white on a red star with flames in the background. The inscription reads "Always Ready!" The Young Pioneers were a Soviet mass youth organization for children of age 10-15. It operated in the Soviet Union between 1922 and 1991 and was heavily influenced by the Scouting movement.
