Sonja Henie ~ This is a large format cigarette card from 1937, published as part of the Bunte Filmbilder series two. It is card #278. Size: just over 2¼" x 2¾" (slightly smaller that a US baseball card). The edges are gilt and showing moderate wear. Overall the condition is very good/fine.

Sonja Henie was a Norwegian figure skater and film star. She was a three-time Olympic Champion in women's Singles, a ten-time World Champion and a six-time European Champion. Henie won more Olympic and World titles than any other ladies' figure skater.

At the height of her acting career, she was one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood and starred in a series of box-office hits, including Thin Ice (1937), Happy Landing (1938), My Lucky Star (1938), Second Fiddle (1939) and Sun Valley Serenade (1941).
