Royal Roy #1 ~ Star Comics (Marvel), May 1985. Saddle-stitched, four-color, American comic book with color cover and interor. 36 pages including covers. 65¢ cover price. Stories by Lennie Herman. Art by Warren Kremer. During a period when Harvey Comics wasn't publishing anything, Marvel started their Star Comics line full of material similar to Harvey. Obviously, Royal Roy was a thinly disguised Richie Rich.
Light wear: very fine/near mint. As always, grading of comics is subjective so check out my scan and be sure this copy would have a home in your collection before bidding or buying.
Although comic book grading is still somewhat subjective, you can expect that the grade I assign to a comic will be accurate. I find that I'm more strict a grader than most people dealing on eBay. I've been dabbling in collectible comics since the late-1960s and participated in the WSA program (#1305) which provided a code of ethics for comics dealers. I've contributed material to the Overstreet Price Guide and published articles in a variety of comic book related periodicals including Comic Book Marketplace, Comic Source, Golden Age Greats, Best of the West, and others.
