I dare say that there is not a greater fan of the British character Marvelman in North America than me. See my eBay store for my own book on the origin of Marvelman. I have real mixed feelings about Marvel Entertainment acquiring the rights to the character (and the legality of it) but, for better or worse, they have given Marvelman greater exposure in America and they have given him back his proper name! This mini-series published several 1950s Marvelman adventures in America for the first time. That is not to say that Mick Anglo and company's comics stories are the best ever but they do expose the obvious Fawcett roots of the "Marvelman Family" and, for those of us inclined toward such things, they have some entertainment value as well as academic interest.
