Produced mostly by Wally Wood for Armed Forces Distribution, Inc., this full-color comic was never distributed in 1969 as intended. Instead some of the copies were destroyed and a large part of the remainder stolen. Anyhow, sometime in the 1980s, a fairly large quantity (perhaps thousands of copies) of this book in unopened cases hit the comic collector's market pretty much destroying its value. But that's the good part! That means you can get a really nice silver-age comic for a pretty low price! It is also a strange reminder of the Vietnam era and Cold War. Sadly, these comics should have been removed from their cartons as soon as they were discovered. Generally, the paper is lightly toned from years of poor storage. Some copies have bends and some have indentations from wire bands. Order one of these and you get the next copy off the stack. Typical copies will grade a very nice very good or better. Despite what CGC would have you believe, absolutely none of them are near mint.
