Dr. Fredric Wertham #17 - Dr. Wertham was a German-American psychiatrist and author. Wertham had an early reputation as a progressive psychiatrist who treated poor black patients at his Lafargue Clinic when mental health services for blacks were uncommon due to racialist psychiatry. Wertham also authored a definitive textbook on the brain, and his institutional stressor findings were cited when courts overturned multiple segregation statutes, most notably in Brown v. Board of Education. He also wrote Seduction of the Innocent which was published in 1954. It blamed comic books for juvenile delinquency and played a large part in getting the Comics Code adopted by the comics industry. Comic fans generally hate him.
Studio Hades card by Acheron Mint. Painted cards, 2 ½ by 3½ inch on 14 pt. card stock. These cards emulate the production values of vintage cards wonderfully well.
This is a brand new card from a recently opened pack. I'm trying to complete a set of all twenty sketch cards so I have quite a few duplicate base cards. I've decided to break up a couple of sets for those persons who have no interest in the entire set but who might one individual cards.
