Else Elster, a pretty blonde German Actress from Danzig (now Gdansk in Poland), who eventually emigrated to the United States. Despite a respectable showing in Weimar and early Nazi era light dramas and musical comedies such as Death Over Shanghai (1932) and Hallo Janine! (1939), Elster was damned for her minor role in director Veit Harlan's notorious historical costume melodrama, Jud Süß aka Jew Suess (1940). She suffered the usual blacklisting and made only one postwar film, Nothing But Coincidence (1949).
