Central Presbyterian Church, Henderson, Kentucky ~ Curteich, Chicago. Production number 85415-N (1921). This linen card is unused but does have some minor corner creases. I know what you are thinking, if this card is a linen then my date of 1921 has to be wrong because linens didn't exist in 1921. Ok, Curt Teich produced the original card in 1921 so the church image dates to that year. The production number puts it firmly in 1921. However, the "N" tailing the number indicates that this card is a reprint. Since it does not have the new style production number which came into use in 1930, it has to be a reprint of a 1921 card that was made in 1929 or early 1930. Although most Central Presbyterian Churches were Cumberland prior to the 1906 partial merger of the CP Church and the PCUSA, this was one was not. This example is unused and in pretty nice condition: VG/F.
Click on my graphic to enlarge it greatly but, if you do, remember that magnified defects appear to be much worse than they actually are and my scanner glass may not have been entirely clean. All of the postcards I sell on eBay are genuine vintage originals unless specified otherwise. I try to describe their condition to the best of my ability but please study my scan before bidding. Cards often have a previous dealer's price written on the back in pencil. I do not consider this a defect. All of my cards are duplicates or unwanted material from my own collection. I have collected cards for over 40 years and have a heck of a lot of unwanted and duplicate material. Check my eBay store in the postal history category for postcards that are more valuable as philatelic objects.
